Avalon Faery fayre and Arthurian ball.

On the 25th and 26th October I was in Glastonbury for the yearly Faery fayre held by Karen Kay only this year I had a stall selling my pyrography wares.
The lead up to the event was tough as I am currently pregnant, which meant making stock for sell was quite a challenge, plus I had a big wedding commission to complete before too but I managed it!

We travelled up on the Friday and it took us over 6 hours as the roads were very busy with traffic. It was great to meet everyone in Glastonbury town before heading back to the Travelodge for dinner and an early night.

The next morning I woke up early in preparation for the day of trading at the town hall on my stall. It was the first time I had ever sold my work at this event and the standard of exhibitors is high so I was quite nervous!
My stall set up for the first day of trading.

I was fairly happy with my stall set up and the day went by in a blur, it was so busy with a constant stream of customers coming in through out the day. I didn't really get the chance to leave my stall to look around, it was that busy.

I did quite well and my work was well received. I had my pyrography kit with me so I was able to offer free personalisation on any item . One lady brought a pair of my drop earrings featuring a moon gazing hare and on the back of the earrings I included a spiral tree of life and her initials.
Photos showing the earrings with the personalised tree of life on one side and moongazing hare on other side.

I love trading my work and wish I could do it more often buy with little one on the way I am not sure when I will be able to do it again.

The Saturday night was the Arthurian ball. The costumes were all wonderful and the music was fantastic but I had to sit down for most of the night as I was so worn out and needed to rest. However I did manage to get my photo take with Leon and my other friends which will be a great reminder of a wonderful night.

The next morning was not such a early night as the clocks had gone back an hour but I felt like my body was 20 years older and I ached so much! I was grateful for my friends help in setting up the stall for day two of the fayre.
It was not as busy as Sunday so I was able to peruse the other vendors and make a few purchases and chat with Jasmine  and Matt Beckett-Griffith and I met Anne Stokes who is a big inspiration to me, especially when I was doing my digital artwork.

By the time we had to pack away the stall I was done so it was a good job we had another night booked in the Travelodge. We had breakfast with our friends on the Monday morning before going our separate ways and having a mooch around Glastonbury's shops before heading home.

I also picked up my beautiful Elen of the ways doll that I had commissioned Rachel Oakes of Enchanted Oakes to make for me. I had been waiting a whole year and the wait was worth it!
